The Unfinished crochet blanket

Last week, my youngest daughter came to me and asked me when I will finish her crochet blanket and I said I said, I don't know. Then she said well I hope not when I am in high school!  That when it hit me, oh yea, I better get on it because I have a small confession, I started this 2nd blanket when I was pregnant with her!!! It had been on and off crocheting these years.  At one point, it was in the attic when we moved and another time it was in the rental storage. So I got up and went to get the unfinished crochet blanket. I had started few rows over the weekend and this week I had been doing one row at a time. Let me tell you, I have no idea what I was doing since I am not an expert crocheter.  I realized I didn't follow the instruction and count the stitches. I knew the blanket was longer than my height...so I measured and it's 7 feet long, what was I thinking???  I guess my daugheter can wrap herself 3 times or share with another person under the blanket. I am not going to start all over since it already in the process. I am going to stitches my own way and do different patterns. I am browsing through books, magazine and internet for varies crochet patterns. I hope to do this each night just one row and belive me my hands get tired! My goal is to finish this blanket by this December before her 9th birthday!
Watch my progress until December. Will you cheer for me? Push me? Will you hang out with me? Or be my ticking clock?

There never enough time in a day!!!

How do you find the time to blog and do some creative craft at home when you are up from almost 5 am to go work and get in bed by 11pm or so?  There work outside of home (10 hours). My little free time when I'm catching between two trains and bus to home, I would be looking through on my iPhone to catch up my emails, up to date with your friends on FB or playing Angry Birds and read my favortie book on Kindle. Once I am home, my children greeted me and then asked me what's for dinner? I haven't even step in the kitchen, my mind running what to make and if there time to make one? eat in or eat out? most of time: eat in. Once I checked, what's in my fridge then I know what to whip up. I get out of my working outfit into workout oufit. I promised myself to do a dvd work out for at least 20 to 35 mins each day or at least 4 to 5 times a week.  I am not a gym work out person to use the equipments. They scared me that they comes in all weird shape with weight or without weight. I have no clue how to use them. I don't like how people look at you to see how bad you are out of shape when they are sweating and you can feel their eyes move as you walk by or get the feeling of the "stare".  You are thinking, OMG, I must be doing something wrong here.  Anyway, my man love to go to the GYM, that's great for him and said that his escape from home.  So, then helping my kids wiht their homeworks but they are independent. I like to check to make sure they are on the right track. Our schedule are full with afterschool schedule....let's see there are few free time that would be on Friday night. Then on the weekend, it's full with other activites as well. The only free time would be somewhere in the evening but by that time, I am so exhausted to lift my finger to make something. I had so many things I want to try and do this and that. I had said, I'll do tomorrow.  When I realized that I said that it was several days or weeks or months ago. I am lucky that I have a day off on every 15th day but that takes up my time I usually run on my errands. I need to lock myself in a room with my crafts stuffs.  The other days, I went to A.C. Moore (craft store) to get something and I was excited like a kid. Everything I see, I want it. I thought, ooo that 's pretty color or wow this is neat. I want to make this or that.  Then when I look at the price tag...some were reasonable price and some were not.  A lots of time I want to make but I don't have enough $$$. So I tried to make something that is cheap but it always turned out cheap and feo! Gone to garbage. Anyway, I told meself to start with a simple craft to make. Please please I would love to make something and it clear my mind for a while while I enjoy it.

Ali's Milestone of First Day of School

And there my little princesa is who still a baby in my eyes. As I watch her grow up,the baby fat starting to fade away, getting tall, having full teeth. And some losing baby tooth  then gaining new tooth. More years to go and enjoy having a princesa, she not always that way. She got some personalities like her older sister (very calm) and some personalities like her brother (energery) So it balanced well.  Everything she does will be the last mark, you know I am done with baby bottle, diaperr, daycare, and done with Pre-K, 1st, 2nd.. and goes on.....
Well, with this one I am able to find all her pictures. the sad thing is that I haven't finish her baby ablum!!! That's my goal to finish it so she can enjoy looking at herself and not her sibilings.

Gio's Milestones of First Day of School

My only boy is a precious child.  I never had a brother and never knew what is like to have a boy in my family. I always heard from my friends who had a brother that they are horrible, messy and always bugging you.  I had no idea I was having a boy until the day he was born. My doc knew but we asked her not to tell us.  Let's fast forward to his first day of school. I was excited but nervous at the same time. He got so much energy that he doesn't listen to me at home and he always had his way even when I tell him not to or said don't do that and he would dare to do it. So I thought, OMG, he would do the same to his teacher but he surprised me. He did listen to his teacher. Gotta enjoy having a boy and sure does make the difference!! I still do get nervous when he goes to his first day of school even in middle school and I will be when it time for high school!!! Boy will always be boy!
I got my pictures together but only missing two pictures Pre-K and kindergarten. I can't believe it! Will find it or substitute it.

Kassie's Milestones of First Day of School

Wow!!! Here what I got milestones of my oldest daughter's first day of school. I remembered being so excited to enrolled her for school. The day she started as a Kindergarten seem like it was only yesterday I was taking a picture outside our apartment with her new outfit and tennis shoes. I thought from that day I will take a picture every year and it seems like forever. Then came to her last picture as a Senior. So, there no next year? It will be just her two siblings? She will be in college next year. I almost got myself in to tears just thinking about it. Ah, time to breath...whoo! I thought this was going to be easy to find the pictures but I got mountains of pictures and not organized!! Most of of them are prints before digital camera were invented. I found most of them but still missing some and what a disappointment!! But I will not give up and will look again. I recently found two rolls of 35 mm film of 24 exp. I am so glad we no longer use it and I need to find the place where they do film processing to print it. Fingers crossed to hope maybe some of the missing are in it.  Anyway, as I was putting the pictures in order and seeing how beautiful she grew up and I can't believe my eyes!!  Times had fly by so fast that I thought I got time and it will be a while. Well, "a while" is already here.So cherish every minutes you got now.  In school, she had been a good student and we had never had any problem with her. So proud of her. I am going to make sure to enjoy and watch her Senior year. In the meantime, I will continue to search some missing pictures and I will update on this blog.I can't wait to do another milestones of other two children. It's fun to watch them grow in pictures!

    My first blog!!!

I don't know where to start or what topic and theme for my blog. I hope it's okay so far.   What made me want to do this?  I thought why not express on my own blog. What I am doing or thinking or what mood I am in? Not that I am planning to fill in my detail in my life. No you nosy people! I have to admit that I am addicted to Facebook. After a while on FB, I got bored with it because you really can't write long post status and the limit is up to 500 characters, is that right?  Oh well, then whenever I take a picture or share something and I like to tell the story about it.  I have few friends who does their own blog and I enjoyed reading their blog.  I thought why can't I do one? So here I am.  I might need to do few mending on my blog. I love red. I couldn't get a red car so I can get red blog! so stay tune....
